Cisco Study Reveals Networking Upgrades Key to AI Era and Revenue Growth

Cisco’s research shows that for AI integration, higher revenues and fewer costly disruptions, secure and smart networking is extremely important.

As digital transformation happens at a faster pace, Cisco has found that it is essential to have more intelligent and secure network infrastructure. In December 2024, the survey was carried out in 30 countries among IT and business leaders in charge of large enterprises’ networking strategies, involving more than 8,000 respondents.

Businesses have faced major network failures during the last two years, mainly because of jammed networks, errors in setup and cyberattacks. Most leaders are certain that improving their network would help their business make more sales and having better infrastructure could reduce costs.

Given that the majority of participants focused on AI, IoT and cloud computing, Cisco urged that modern networks should be adaptable, sturdy and secure. Nowadays, just 41% of organizations apply features such as segmentation and real-time control.

Chintan Patel, Cisco’s Chief Technology Officer, pointed out that today’s network building will impact the success of the business tomorrow.

Although AI is changing business priorities, the study asserts that networking is crucial for innovation, progress and safe work in the field of technology.
