Through AI-driven risk analytics, safety, operational efficiency, and real-time monitoring are enhanced at the Port of Tyne with advanced video analytics.
The partnership has been extended between Gorilla Technology Group, British Telecom (BT), and Port of Tyne, further improving safety, operational efficiencies, and AI-powered video analytics. This collaboration follows previous success in the areas of container tracking and damage classification.
This new phase involves using Gorilla's AI-based protection system for monitoring the hazardous areas within the port. Objective safety risks, such as PPE compliance transgressions and unsafe worker behaviors around machinery, shall be detected in an effort to mitigate incidences and improve safety in general. It is integrated with BT's 5G private network, enabling real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
With the use of risk analytics, this partnership will be useful to provide actionable insights for optimizing operations and workflows at the Port of Tyne. This advanced technology will optimize resource allocation, automate task operations, and build business intelligence.
The Port of Tyne, with the support of the AI video analytics platform, is set to make its smart port vision a living reality; hence the port will redefine operational excellence and safety in the maritime logistics sector with advanced technology.
According to Will Addison, the VP of Innovation at Gorilla Technology, launching AI solutions will create a different paradigm altogether for port operations worldwide. The partnership showcases the potential application of AI and risk analytics for transforming industrial operations.
