Dubai Electronic Security Center launches cybersecurity initiatives in GISEC 2025 with an aim to build the firm’s digital infrastructure, build talent and prepare for quantum.
The Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) launched a portfolio of groundbreaking cybersecurity projects at GISEC Global 2055 that took place at Dubai World Trade Center from May 6–8. Representing the official Government Cybersecurity Partner, DESC plans to fortify the digital structure and raise national security bar.
Among the initiatives, the one that is of pride is the Zero Trust Assessment Tool and Guideline that would help in implementing a zero trust security framework in government entities. The model needs continuous verification of identity and membership rights, which limits access and augments the defense against break-in and danger from the inside.
The introduction of “Ethaq Plus”, which provides certified digital certificates, increases secure digital transactions and enhances institutional level cyber security resilience. DESC also launched the ISR Officer Certification Program to train government people on information security regulations and grow future cybersecurity leaders.
With an eye on the quantum-era threats, DESC unveiled the Post-Quantum Cryptography Guideline that made sure that Dubai is always ahead of digital threat’s curve.
In showcasing its commitment to talent development, DESC held the Dubai Cyber Challenge and the School of Cyber Defense Championship which involved more than 300 university students in real world cybersecurity simulations.
Chief Executive H.E. Yousuf Al Shaibani highlighted DESC’s vision for Dubai to become the safest digital city, through innovation and high security strategies.
