Sanofi India Appoints Sudipta Chakraborty as Head of Legal to Strengthen Compliance and Governance

Sudipta Chakraborty now leads Sanofi India’s Legal team, setting clear compliance, governance and regulatory structures for the company’s continued development.

Sanofi India Limited has named Sudipta Chakraborty as the Head of Legal, India, and effective June 2, 2025. The Board approved the decision after getting a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and that information was made public as required by SEBI rules.

Chakraborty offers more than two decades of practice in law, mostly related to compliance and governance in segments such as pharmaceuticals and manufacturing. Before Sanofi, she was Vice President of Group Legal & Compliance at the Aditya Birla Group and led their governance, compliance, reorganization and intellectual property plans.

She has successfully formed and expanded legal, compliance and tax teams at startups as well as Fortune 100 firms. Thanks to Chakraborty’s main abilities in regulatory compliance, intellectual property and corporate governance, Sanofi will further its dedication to ethical standards and effective management.

Sanofi India Limited which belongs to the international healthcare company Sanofi headquartered in Paris, began business in India in 1956. The organization focuses on making and selling pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare products for serious illnesses including diabetes, issues of the heart, disorders of the brain and nervous system and vaccines.
