The partnership between IFS and NEC produces secure Enterprise Asset Management solutions that promote strong asset management and help businesses evolve digitally.
IFS AB and NEC Corporation plan to partner more closely to help advance Enterprise Asset Management across the globe. By working together, IFS and NEC hope to use their expertise to speed up digital transformation within manufacturing, aviation and other industries.
Enterprise Asset Management supports company efforts to improve facility maintenance, supply processes and after-sales services. For more than 20 years, NEC has supported its clients with supply chain management, using IFS technologies and its own BluStellar platform.
As part of the agreement, Japan will get new enhanced IFS Cloud solutions implemented in local data centers. This means businesses can use flexible and steady workplaces that follow local rules and meet customer requirements. NEC’s AI will also help automate and improve procurement and asset management.
Both SAP and the operator will create tailor-made Enterprise Asset Management services together for the Japanese and global markets. Employees in many areas will be trained to offer service that is faster and of the highest quality.
According to Moffat, CEO of IFS, this partnership extends IFS operations into high-potential sectors like aerospace which helps clients run their companies with greater intelligence and more agility. According to Takayuki Morita, NEC will accelerate digital transformation efforts and promote international growth using these advanced offerings.
