Samsung’s Galaxy Fit is coming to the U.S. priced at $99.99. The activity tracker is now available on Samsung’s website. The device is branded as ‘light and vivid to keep you up to speed’. At present, the IoT fitness band is released in two colors of black and silver.
The Galaxy Fit comes with a 0.95-inch AMOLED display. “Get what you need at a glance. Not only can you retrieve your fitness stats in an instant you can see them clearly thanks to its Full Color AMOLED Display,” describes the website about the AMOLED display.
You’ll find all the features of a fitness band, including a heart rate tracker. Additionally, there’s 2MB of RAM, 120mAh battery, and also 32 MB of storage. Pairing with a mobile device is done over Bluetooth and also the band is water resistant. Once it is fully charged, the battery can last up to a week.
Samsung’s smartwatches need no introduction. However, with Galaxy Fit, Samsung is channeling its resources to release a more robust health tracking device. This is why you’ll find the Fit tracking up to 90 types of exercises with automatic detection of walking, running, cycling, rowing, etc. It’ll track your sleep. Once linked with the Samsung Health app, you can set health goals. So far, the Galaxy Fit has made quite an impression on early testers with huge plus points for the AMOLED screen.
