Top US chocolate manufacturer Hershey’s will now work with Accenture to support its SAP Hana S/4 implementation. SAP helps Hershey’s in rolling out the in memory ERP system which will enhance the growth and also minimizes operational costs.
Terry O’Day, Chief Product Supply and Technology Officer at Hershey’s, said, “This will enable us to increase competitive advantage and support our growth ambition through greater collaboration and innovation, as well as service delivery built around the needs of our customers.”
He added that Accenture was chosen because of its proven ability to understand the industry, credentials, technology and bring more transformation.
Gartner reported that approximately 30% of service centric companies will shift from their ERP apps to the cloud by this year and this is when SAP comes to play. SAP’s more important release is its S/4Hana which is appreciated and considered as “the most important release” in 23 years.
Hershey’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Hershey’s Kisses is a long duration SAP partner with its first implementation of SAP’s R/3 ERP package, in 1999. Hershey’s feel that with SAP implementation of the in-memory version of SAP’s Business Suite ERP platform technology the company can be triumphant.
