Google 3D animals feature is the new tool to keep your kids occupied during isolation

Due to the virus outbreak, kids are utterly disappointed as not a single place is open to go and have fun. This situation took parenting to a whole new level of difficulty. But to make it simple, one of the ways parents are doing this is through new Google 3D animals, a feature that has been trending these days. Google’s 3D animal feature, as the name suggests, places 3D animals in your real-life environment such as your bedroom or living room. The AR feature uses your phone’s camera to place virtual animals in your surroundings. This has become a primary entertainment tool for parents to keep the kids occupied during the lockdown while also helping them gain extra knowledge about the animal names, behavior, lifestyle and more.

How to use Google 3D animals feature:

• Open your browser (Chrome, Safari or Firefox) on your mobile and head to google.com
• You can type an animal in the search bar like Tiger, Panda, or Shark and hit search.
• You will be presented with search results on the animal that you wanted to look up. Just below the images and Wikipedia box on the animal, you will find a section that reads, “Meet a life-sized tiger up close” and a “View in 3D” button.
• Tapping on the “View in 3D” button will fire up your rear camera. You will need to move the phone around to map the room, following which the AR animal will pop up. You can now scale it and move it as per your choice.

This new Google 3D animals Live View feature supports most known animals, including alligator, cat, cheetah, bear, dog, duck, eagle, angler fish, goat, panda, horse, lion, octopus, raccoon, among others. The feature is very entertaining yet very informative. Google 3D live image feature is compatible on phones running Android 7.0 or higher and iOS 11.0 or above.
