Belgian fashion designer Dries Van Noten, known for his innovative designs and sumptuous hues, is set to leave his role as creative director this summer.
Dries Van Noten, a Belgian fashion designer, has said that he will leave his position as creative director of his company this summer. After the upcoming menswear presentation at Paris Fashion Week in June, Van Noten, 65, is expected to depart. Van Noten, a renowned Antwerp Six member, is known for his sumptuous hues and innovative designs. He trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the 1980s. Van Noten described his career as a dream come true and announced that his studio team will be responsible for the upcoming women's wear collection. His replacement will be revealed in due time.
Van Noten, also known as DVN, is a prominent figure in the fashion industry. As the third-generation tailor in his family, he started his career as a freelancer before establishing his own menswear line in 1986. Van Noten gained recognition for his work in Antwerp, a stylish city in Europe.
The designer, Van Noten, has launched a new women’s wear collection in Paris, showcasing a mix of color and enthusiasm. The collection, dubbed "audacious everyday" by WWD, contrasts with the current "quiet luxury" trend. In 2018, Van Noten sold his label to Spanish conglomerate Puig, which has since expanded into e-commerce and launched cosmetics and perfume lines. He expressed gratitude to fans and clients.
