In a bold statement, the company emphasized that Covaxin stands devoid of any side-effects, setting a reassuring tone amidst recent revelations regarding AstraZeneca's Covishield.

Bharat Biotech's unwavering focus on safety was evident from the outset of Covaxin's development. With a meticulous approach, the vaccine underwent rigorous evaluation in more than 27,000 subjects as part of its licensure process. Even after receiving authorization for restricted use in clinical trial mode, detailed safety reporting continued for several hundred thousand subjects, ensuring transparency and accountability.
