A popular myth in real estate is that by navigating the transaction without an agent, money can be saved. On the contrary, the right agent will actually have an incredible impact on the transaction by understanding what’s happening in their local market, industry knowledge, negotiation skills and their vast network of contacts. This includes Title Processors, Home Inspectors, Appraisers, Licensed Reputable Contractors, Mortgage Lenders, and many more tied to the transaction.

1st Class Real Estate is a breath of fresh air standing out in an industry of other firms providing excellent service.  Founder and CEO Rhyan Finch has put together a proven model of software, systems, procedures and a support staff second to none (more on that later). The industry is constantly changing. To keep up, 1st Class Real Estate has every base covered from Standard Operating Procedures for franchise offices, lead generation, marketing and branding, closing coordination, inside sales agents, agent and franchise training, plus much more! The company is incredibly flexible with logos and color schemes.  They want to provide everything and more a franchise needs and should offer without dictating every choice.  We interviewed Rhyan and here are a few excerpts:

Q. Have you always been passionate about the Real Estate industry? Tell us what inspired the foundation of 1st Class Real Estate?

Yes, I’ve always been passionate and 1st Class Real Estate was born out of a desire to have a profound impact on the Real Estate Industry and it simply wasn’t possible working at another brokerage. You will see during the course of this interview how incredibly different we are.

Q. ‘We are a customer service company that happens to sell real estate.’ Would you like to elaborate on this a bit more?

Absolutely! First, understanding our clients are actually franchisees and agents is paramount. If they are set up for success, then every home buyer or seller can be taken care of by those franchises and agents.

Q. What are your focus areas? Please share an overview.

Our goal is to increase the success rate of franchisees and agents and at the time of this article, we have 56 franchises and a 100% success rate, something we are extremely proud of. We base all of our decisions on the feedback of our agents and franchisees, so we are constantly developing our model and structure to meet every agent’s needs at any stage of their career. I personally do a monthly agent training and a monthly vision meeting with the franchise owners where they have direct access to me. There is even a calendly link so any franchise owner can schedule 15, 30 or 45 minute meetings when they are available and want my help.

Q. Could you describe your typical management style and the type of employee that works well with you?

We don’t monitor people, we monitor results. Each team member is treated like a business owner for their department and we review the department P&L’s. We have a really employee friendly list of benefits. If you need to work from home on a Tuesday, then work from home. If you need 2 hours in the middle of the day, then go handle your personal business.  Our dress code is “Dress for your Day”, which allows freedom to come in more casual if you don’t have any presentations planned. I don’t want them to feel like they are just working for a paycheck, so we also offer profit sharing. They win as the company grows. I’ve developed a team of incredibly self-motivated individuals who are just as invested in the success of 1st Class Real Estate as much as I am.

Q. Will your company be expanding, bringing on any new products or services that we should be aware of?

1st Class Real Estate is constantly innovating. We are currently the 1st and virtual real estate franchise model. This allows a franchise owner to grow and operate with little overhead, while reinvesting the profits for exponential growth. We are providing a breakthrough service enabling independent brokers, team leaders, and entrepreneurs to forgo a physical office, manage a workforce, and keep tabs on related expenditures while boosting potential revenues. Our incredible support staff is constantly researching our procedures, technology and areas for improvement, which quickly gains the trust of anyone joining our model.

In 2.3 years, we’ve opened 56 franchises starting with our 1st in April of 2019. I’m excited to see the growth of 1st Class from a Real Estate Company to a Franchise over the last 10 years. God has blessed me with a clear vision and purpose, and that has allowed for my continued success. We also have a few projects planned through 2022, which will again alter the mindset of our industry!

Q. How do you plan to transform your company into a future that is unfolding before you?

We believe the world will continue to constantly evolve and change.  This mindset keeps our company vigilant and agile, while always searching for ways to increase the success rate of agents and franchisees.

In 2005, Rhyan became a licensed real estate agent with a nationally known franchise firm in Virginia Beach and quickly exploded as he gained 100+ listings on the market after finding his niche in short sales! Rhyan became certified in Distressed Properties, Short Sales, & Foreclosures. As a new agent, Rhyan had great success and earned the Re/Max International 100% Club in 2007 and 2008. Now in 2021, as CEO and Principal Broker, he has led the company to rank in the top 4% of real estate companies in the Hampton Roads area, over 700 agents, and 50+ locations nationwide. His powerful leadership, knowledge, and desire to excel has proven a track record of success for exponential growth.
