An excellent recruitment agency connecting dynamic employers to top talent: Barracuda Staffing

An excellent recruitment agency connecting dynamic employers to top talent: Barracuda Staffing

We spend a large proportion of our waking lives at work (well at least most of us do) so it is important that not only do we have a job which reflects our particular abilities but that we have a job that we enjoy. When you are in a job that you find stimulating and enjoyable then it is much easier to get out of bed each day and go into work with a smile on your face. When you have a job you hate you are willing half your life away as you are waiting for the weekend to come which is really not the way anybody wishes to live. You spend more time at work than you do with your family. Shouldn’t you like what you do – and where you do it? Whether you are looking to take a step up, achieve more flexibility, earn more, or find an employer who values your contributions, Barracuda Staffing will find the job that’s right for you. As one of the top employment agencies in Tulsa, they understand how stressful a job search can be, which is why they streamline the process to ensure you are matched with the right opportunities. At Barracuda Staffing, they do more than fill temp jobs in Tulsa, we provide real job opportunities to help you achieve your goals. The company does that by looking at more than just your skills – they look at you as a person, partnering with you in your career success.

Best Prescreened candidates

Prescreening candidates lets you learn more about them. Gaining insight into their character, work ethic, history, skills, and personality helps you determine which candidate is most qualified to fill a role. Since you have limited time to select which candidates to meet with, you have to reduce the number down to a select few. Skim cover letters to learn more about a candidate. Along with showing off their writing skills, a cover letter demonstrates how well a candidate follows directions. You might ask them to include why they’re best suited for a role, what excited them about your company, or how they can contribute to your team. If a candidate doesn’t perform as requested, odds are they’ll have difficulty following directions at work. To show respect for your time, the cover letter should be no more than two pages. It should demonstrate how the candidate thinks and what their personality is like. The cover letter needs to be tailored for the position to show the candidate put thought into it. Schedule a phone or video interview to learn more about a candidate. This lets you evaluate their communication and presentation skills. Ask questions to determine what they know about your company. If they don’t know much about your products or services, they didn’t research your organization before talking with you. This implies that the candidate doesn’t take initiative or use problem-solving skills. Use the same list of questions for every candidate. This lets you evaluate them against each other based on information about the same topics. If you record the interview, let the candidate know. Otherwise, take notes on the candidate’s replies to your questions. For a video interview, focus on how the candidate behaves and what their body language is like. Include whether they smile a lot and seem confident. Notice whether the environment is quiet and cleaned up or noisy and full of clutter. This shows how seriously the candidate takes your company and the role. If you’re short on time, send the candidate a list of questions to respond to on video and send it to you.

Maneuvering your job search through covid-19

Right now times are very uncertain, very stressful and even a bit frightening. The COVID-19 outbreak has not only caused a health crisis but an economic crisis, as well. In a matter of days, millions of people found themselves suddenly out of work. Millions more are weeks or even days away from losing their jobs, and millions more still are left uncertain about whether their companies will last through this crisis. While the numbers are bleak and you are probably anxious, there is good news. Companies all across the country are hiring right now and many companies still have long-term plans to hire throughout the year. That means that the best thing for you to do right now is to continue your job search, despite your anxiety. If you have already lost your job or you are in danger of losing your job, make sure you are doing search-related activities for a few hours every single day. You don’t have to do them for eight hours a day which can be daunting, but you should do a few hours, at least. Then, spend time decompressing with your family, taking a walk outside and looking for silver linings where you can find them. Even being a few seconds late to a phone or video interview can cost you a job right now. Make sure that you have the date and time correct and test links to video chats at least an hour before the meeting so you can notify the employer if there is a problem. Finally, just as you would arrive early to an interview, sign in or dial in at least 10 minutes early – unless you are instructed otherwise. A job search can be incredibly overwhelming at any time, let alone in these uncertain and stressful times. Working with a staffing firm can help ease your stress while also increasing the chances of finding a good job.

Kevin Burr founded Barracuda Staffing in 2009 amid one of the biggest economic crises of our time. However, Kevin believed he could create a higher quality staffing agency to serve the Tulsa community. By providing a more careful, quality placement process resulting in lower turnover for clients and higher job satisfaction for contractors, Barracuda Staffing has grown to a full-service staffing company with two sister companies, Barracuda Consulting and Red River Payroll, serving clients and placing contractors nationwide.
