Filtr is the subsidiary of Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions; it uses science and technology to better mankind which is also its mission. Dr. Kim has expanded her vision of aiding people throughout the world by leveraging Lighthouse’s 35 years of success in contamination control to bring the company’s expertise to homes, businesses, schools, hospitals and all other manner of indoor spaces. Filtr products identify and protect people from disturbing airborne nanoparticle contamination. Filtr Revolution is developed to provide a maximum flow of cleanroom grade air, while lessening the sound levels inherent with high-speed air purification blowers. Filtr is focused on reducing the health risks related to indoor air pollutants (such as asthma, allergies, COPD and heart disease) by detecting and removing airborne and surface contaminants such as viruses, bacteria, smoke and many other forms of pollutants. Filtr has also designed the Hope 220, a world-class disposable N95 respirator that has been designed to provide a secure fit with the highest level of comfort, breathability, and durability.
Q. Talk about your experience in cleanroom monitoring.
Lighthouse is the global leader in the design, manufacturing and installation of environmental monitoring systems. Lighthouse offers the most complete line of contamination monitoring solutions available that include Airborne Particle Counters, Microbial Samplers and Liquid Particle Counters, as well as Temperature/Humidity sensors. These solutions are now found in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data storage, biotechnology, aerospace and defense industry plants worldwide as well as many other industries that utilize cleanrooms to protect their people and products.
We have now taken our expertise beyond the cleanroom by leveraging our technology to provide cleanroom grade air in a high-powered portable air purification system. The Revolution is now being utilized to provide safer indoor air environments in schools, offices, manufacturing, healthcare and assisted care facilities and all manner of public agencies and businesses, restaurants, stores and homes. Every indoor environment that is occupied by people is in need of significant long-term air quality improvement.
Q. What is exclusive about Hope 220 N95 Disposable Respirator and your Revolution - Industrial & Medical Grade Air Purifier?
The Hope 220 offers unique features not commonly seen in the current market of disposable N95 respirators. While many will simply take a template and manufacture their masks as a recipe of components that meet minimum standards, Filtr used our 35 years of particle monitoring success to engineer our respirator to better meet the needs of those who will be wearing it. For example, fit matters. The Hope 220 offers a specially sized and much more comfortable foam nose bridge, which provides more pliable reinforcement to empower every user to customize the fit to the shape of their face. This provides a more secure seal to keep unwanted contaminants from entering the mask. Another common complaint is that N95 masks can be difficult to breathe in. The Hope 220 addresses this issue by optimizing the surface area of the mask thus making it easier to breathe through. The Hope 220 was designed with a structural material layer that keeps the mask away from your mouth and nose. This makes it easier to breathe and makes it much more comfortable.
The Hope 220 utilizes a tri-fold design which accommodates a wider variety of face shapes and sizes. This tri-fold design also makes the mask easier to breathe in.
The Filtr Revolution offers patented bi-polar technology that serves three functions: it helps to remove particulate matter from the air, it reduces VOC (volatile organic compounds) levels and it helps to kill bacteria and viruses on surfaces.
The Revolution utilizes a commercial grade HEPA filter. HEPA stands for High-Efficiency Particulate Air. While most HEPA filters filter down to 0.3 micron particles, the HEPA filter in the Revolution was specially designed for the unit and will filter 98% of all particles down to 0.024 micron. HEPA filters are the most commonly used filters in cleanroom manufacturing environments such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, medical device and healthcare.
Q. What are the benefits of using the Filtr air purifier?
COVID-19 (and all other viruses) molds, dusts, pollens, pollution, wildfire ash, pathogens and many other microscopic forms of airborne contamination are widely recognized as the cause of many of today’s health problems. These tiny particles often attach to other larger microscopic particles. The average heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system often sacrifices air filtration capability to maximize climate control as a mechanism of keeping per-unit build costs low. The current pandemic has made it abundantly clear that HVAC systems have been manufactured with insufficient filtration capabilities to meaningfully reduce the risks associated with today’s compromised indoor air environments. Much of the population of our world is currently experiencing the consequences of lower production costs at the expense of human health. In effect, what makes the Revolution a key addition to indoor environments, particularly those running HVAC systems, is that the Revolution supplements the filtration capacity to make up the difference for the shortcomings inherent with centralized HVAC systems.
A crucial weapon in the battle for airborne cleanliness, Filtr Revolution by Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions becomes an essential aid to typical wipe-down disinfection protocols by capturing offending particles BEFORE they settle on surfaces helping to further prevent touch transmission and remediating potential problems while entering indoor environments.
Detecting early airborne particle outbreaks, temperature, humidity and volatile organic compounds (VOC), Revolution’s on-board sensors deliver air quality information across a day, week, or month to monitor and improve the cleanliness of your environment, viewable and controllable by multiple users.
