Business ownership comes with many benefits over traditional employment. For starters, there’s job security! You’re certainly the last one to be fired. Although owning a business comes with a lot of responsibility, you are in a better position to be proactive rather than reactive when situations arise. Having some measure of control over your life is a good place to be.
What’s more? Being a business owner provides three income streams including:
As an employee, you earn wages for the work you do. As a business owner, your business can still make money for you even when you’re not on site working. This freedom opens up a world of possibilities for business owners. It’s no wonder that so many people want to get into business for themselves. The first income stream is self-explanatory, but let’s dig a little deeper into how it results in tax savings.
Business owners have tax advantages over employees. When you pay $100.00 for a cell phone, you have to earn $130.00 in income to pay for that (assuming you’re in an average tax bracket). When you own a business, you can deduct all or a portion of that expense to the business. So, if your business earns $130.00 and you deduct a $100.00 for cell phone as a business expense, you only pay taxes on the remaining $30.00, i.e., around $10.00. This leaves you with $20.00 that you wouldn’t have had by being an employee with a salary. A person that was making $100,000 with a job can have the same or a better lifestyle making $70,000 with a business of their own for this reason.
Business ownership allows you to build equity over the years; thereby creating an asset that can remain in the family or be sold off at a profit. The man behind the business ownership revolution is Seth Lederman, the Founder and CEO of Frannexus. His expertise is extended to potential business owners nationwide through his highly-esteemed firm, Frannexus.
Frannexus is a leading franchise consultancy that was founded for entrepreneurs by an entrepreneur with a passion for helping people get into business for themselves. The firm has found great success in leading individuals to become business owners so that they can lead a life on their terms rather than working under someone else as an employee.
How is Frannexus so successful? “Our success comes down to our extensive matching process and unique approach to franchise development. Frannexus consultants are advisors and collaborators, not salespeople. Our consultative approach is focused on understanding the experiences, skills, dreams, lifestyle, and financial goals of our clients. From this place of understanding, Frannexus surprises and delights clients with franchise ownership opportunities that they wouldn’t have considered on their own,” says Seth Lederman.
Why Business Ownership?
In our current economic climate, it seems the lack of employment opportunities, risk of layoffs, long-term unemployment outlook, and competition in the workplace has led to higher stress on the job and much lower satisfaction in the daily grind. The uncertainty and insecurity felt during the pandemic have led many people to reevaluate their priorities and ask questions like, “Is this really what I want to be doing the rest of my career?”
It is not surprising then that many who are unhappy with the state of the economy and their situations have considered business ownership. It’s great for the economy and it’s an excellent opportunity for the business owner. “One of the strongest things that pull people towards entrepreneurship is that they’re tired of doing all the work while someone else reaps the rewards. Starting a business can replace lost or reduced income, provide relief from an unhappy employment situation, or give a business owner flexibility in their work-life balance that they can’t experience as an employee,” explains Mr. Lederman.
Frannexus understands the intricacies and nuances of successful franchise business ownership. The firm has helped people with potential – build and achieve their dreams through franchising. Led from the front by Seth Lederman, Frannexus has worked with hundreds of people who want to better understand the strategic, tactical, and financial aspects of franchise ownership. It is this leadership, which has earned Frannexus a Business Excellence Award 2021 by CIO Bulletin.
