CIO Bulletin
Businesses need to be agile in order to compete and win in a digital world. To gain competitive advantage, companies must deliver their products and services better, faster and at a lower cost than their peers. The need to constantly reinvent your business is now a full time requirement. Status Quo means you’re out! Without a BIG change with vastly increased speed in application development using a completely iterative approach, most businesses will find themselves outsourced and out of business in the next 10 years. The good news is that low-code and now no-code application development platforms can empower organizations to innovate and digitally transform in a quick, powerful and affordable way.
Digital transformation enabled with the use of a ‘No-Code’ platform can improve many key drivers of business performance and provide new business models and revenue streams.

Motivation and Vision Behind the Company
Tom Kennedy has been building rapid application development platforms for Fortune 500 companies since 1979. While at Back Office, he patented the CranSoft development platform which enabled extensive advancement for Data Migration and Data Governance technologies in large legacy ERP environments.
Tom realized application development was becoming increasingly complex with the myriad of programming languages, disparate backend legacy systems, and the demand for apps to run on all devices and be accessible in the cloud. Businesses were struggling to effectively innovate due to the communication difficulties with their IT departments. Budgets were exploding. Producing even 1 or 2 apps a year meant millions of dollars and large numbers of expert coders. He saw the unsustainable strategies of large Enterprises as futile, outsourcing, code generators and creating multiple development divisions some for mobile some for web. Companies constantly struggled to meet budgets and deadlines while their application backlogs grew to several hundred applications. Tom wanted to create a new way of thinking about appdev. A methodology and platform that meant the business could easily partner with IT and take control of application development.
Zudy Success Stories
iHeart Media, Brooks Brothers, Purdue Pharmaceuticals, Kraft Group, Stericyle are some of our biggest clients. And we would like to share some success stories:
Customer Success- Purdue Pharma
Purdue Pharma wanted to digitally transform but they struggled under the weight of maintaining several large Enterprise systems. They needed to integrate systems, digitally transform business processes and enable complete visibility across their Enterprise. Zudy reset expectations and boosted productivity with their powerful no-code rapid application development platform- Vinyl. Purdue Pharma was able to completely transform their Human Capital Management by building a real-time Enterprise Ready application with dynamically responsive design. This resulted in increased automation of Human Resource processes and procedures, as well as delivering fast, long lasting value for their enterprise.
Customer Success-Brooks Brothers: Brooks Brothers is the oldest retailer in the United States, Founded in 1818 as a family business. The privately owned company offers clothing for men, women and children.
The firm wanted to digitally transform business processes and selected a Rapid Application Development (RAD) Platform Vinyl, built by Zudy, to build a custom ‘Store Excellence’ solution. The results are higher store associate productivity, elimination of manual, paper-based processes and overall higher customer satisfaction. Zudy’s No-Code platform, Vinyl, has become the solution of choice for all store processes. In choosing Zudy, Brooks Brothers has departed from outdated “best practices,†conventional software selections and waterfall implementation, and shown that applications built on the right platform are superior and game changing for their company.
Customer Success- iHeartmedia: This Global Media and Entertainment Company needed an application to enable users to efficiently search, book and manage qualified DJ talent for paid on-air Endorsement opportunities. Historically, each individual market segment had their own process for documenting Endorsements for radio DJ Talent in each market, using Excel spreadsheets or Word documents. For large multi-market Campaigns there was no way to determine which Talent was available for their business needs, often leading to missed revenue opportunities. Projects under tight deadlines were not set up for success as it often took weeks to lock in an Endorsement, resulting in missed revenue. In addition, there was no process to track or report on Endorsement revenue or forecast its value to executive management.
How Zudy helped iHeart
In 38 hours, Zudy built an application, connecting to 4 of iHeart’s cloud-based data sources and 1 on-premise server without a single line of code. Every market now enters all Talent data and availability into the new Endorsement application. The Vinyl Endorsement app enables teams to provide Advertisers and Campaign Managers options for Talent Endorsements within seconds, eliminating their prior issue that led to missed revenue. Workflow emails are sent automatically to notify users of requests, schedule details, bookings, category conflict of interests and contract confirmations. Notes and a detailed history of every campaign are now archived in the app, providing the business with a record of all past Endorsements and overall trends. The new application also tracks and reports Endorsement revenue stream to aid management in future revenue projections and forecasting.
