Yungblud is launching his first accessible music festival, Bludfest, on August 11 in Buckinghamshire, England, to address the issue of overpriced tickets.
Recording artist Yungblud is organizing his first accessible music festival because he is fed up with overpriced tickets. Bludfest is set to take place on August 11 in the renowned Milton Keynes Bowl, located in Buckinghamshire, England, northwest of London. Notable prior attendees include David Bowie and Green Day. Because Yungblud, whose actual name is Dom Harrison, believes that festivals nowadays are "unrepresentative of people," he has set the price of Bludfest at 49.50 pounds, or roughly $63. He continues, saying that music festivals need to be about having a good time and creating memories, not about becoming exclusive.
Yungblud will perform at an event featuring Lil Yachty, Soft Play, Nessa Barrett, Lola Young, and Jazmin Bean, with The Damned also participating in an "icons" slot. Tickets go on sale on March 22. Yungblud aims to create a "physical world" for himself, his followers, and future followers. He offers a "Make a Friend" option for those attending alone, allowing in-person meetings or pre-chat on Discord.
And if all goes as planned, he intends to take the idea to other parts of the world in addition to the United Kingdom. In addition to Bludfest, Yungblud is currently recording his fourth album. He claims that this piece has a more upbeat tone than his previous ones, which dealt with sadness and depression.
