iOS 14 has launched with great improvements. With these improvements comes better access to some Google apps. Some of these features include improvements to accessing the Google Search Widget, Chrome browser and Gmail.
With the release of iOS14, iPhone users can add widgets to their home screen to access apps faster than before. For this, users can now add widgets in two sizes to Search. While one widget of these is just for Search, other offers three ways to search. With Google’s Quick Search Widget, users will be able to search anything right from the home screen.
Google wrote on its blog: “The Shortcuts Widget includes a quick Search bar and additional search modes: Lens, which lets you search what you see through your camera; Voice Search if you don’t feel like typing; and Incognito mode for an extra layer of privacy.”
Widgets have existed on Google’s Android phones for a long time now. iPhones too had widgets but iOS devices will now let the users customize the widgets.
Additionally, iPhone users can now set Google Chrome as their default browser. In the coming time, Google is looking to make Gmail the default mail app in the iPhones.
