iPhone SE Plus tipped to have 5G but come with same 4.7-inch display

The iPhone SE Plus will be 5G ready and come with a 4.7-inch display. This comes shortly after rumors that the iPhone SE 3 would be designed based on the iPhone XR.

Apple fans have long been waiting for a budget SE model with a bigger display. But it seems they have to wait a bit more as the iPhone SE 3 with the design based on the iPhone XR has reportedly been postponed to 2024. And for next year, Apple has planned to release its iPhone SE Plus, with 5G support and the same 4.7-inch display. Previously, famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also quoted that the device will be the "cheapest iPhone model ever."

The iPhone SE Plus will be 5G ready and could be powered by the A15 Bionic. This comes shortly after rumors that the iPhone SE 3 would be designed based on the iPhone XR. The iPhone SE 3, for now, is said to be postponed to 2024. Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), tweeted that we would be looking out for the iPhone SE Plus instead of the iPhone SE 3.

The iPhone SE Plus is said to come with an iPhone 8-like design, with a 4.7-inch LCD display. It will be powered by the A15 Bionic system-on-chip and Qualcomm's X60 modem. Ross also adds that the iPhone SE 3, which has now been pushed to 2024, will feature a 5.7-inch to 6.1-inch display. This backs previous reports that the iPhone SE 3 will be based on the iPhone XR's design.
