The social media giant, Twitter has acquired stories template maker startup, Chroma Labs. However, the price and details of the deal have not been disclosed by the company.
Chroma Labs was founded in late 2018 by the former employees of Facebook and Instagram, with one of its co-founder being the inventor of Instagram boomerang. Its Chroma Stories app lets the user explore and choose from its wide range of stylish layout templates and frames for posting collages and more to Instagram Stories, Snapchat and many other such platforms.
With the all-new Chroma Stories, the users can choose from retro filters, holiday-themed frames and stylish collage templates to give their stories a distinct look, thus setting it apart from the rest of all.
As estimated by the Sensor Tower, Chroma Stories has recorded total downloads of 37,000 to date. Twitter will reportedly split the Chroma Labs team to work on its product, design and engineering teams.
About the acquisition, Chroma Labs team wrote on its site: “When we founded Chroma Labs in 2018, we set out to build a company to inspire creativity and help people tell their visual stories.
