The industry’s leading tech honchos came together at the Adobe Summit to announce additional details about the previously announced Open Data Initiative (ODI).
Last September, Adobe, SAP, and Microsoft promised a new approach through the Open Data Initiative that would unlock the data across suites. Now, in the coming months the companies’ plan is to deliver a new approach for “publishing, enriching and ingesting initial data feeds.” The data will be sourced from the Adobe Experience Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Office 365, and SAP C/4 HANA and will be made available for a customer’s data lake. This will give them the capability to use AI and Machine Learning to gain new insights and serve their customers in a better way.
The companies also announced their plans to convene a Partner Advisory Council that will include Accenture, Capgemini, Change Healthcare, EY, Genesys, Cognizant, Amadeus, InMobi, WPP, Hootsuite, and Sprinklr. The council will able to drive new value for the customers with their multi-industry expertise.
Stephen Pretorius, the CTO of WPP welcomed the move and said: “We’re excited about the initiative Adobe, Microsoft and SAP have taken in this area, and we see a lot of opportunity to contribute to the development of ODI.”
