There is a good news for the residents in the city of Rockingham! There will be new electronic roadside sign board to help travelers and residents to be well informed about the bushfire threats in the region for their strict security.
Recently, the four existing fire danger rating signs have been substituted by the high-tech Electronic Fire Danger Rating signs in Patterson Road, Rockingham, Safety Bay Road, Baldivis, Mandurah road, Singleton and Mundijong road. You can find the fifth Electronic Fire Danger Rating sign in westbound on Kalujia road, Baldivis, off the Kwinana Freeway exit.
The signs are placed in highly risky and densely populated areas for more security and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services will intimate about the probable dangers via cell phone to automatically change the fire danger rating display. There will prevail flashing beacons on both sides of the signs which will be activated in emergencies.
There will be more information about fire breaks, weather intimation, timely and extreme warnings. City of Rockingham Major Barry Sammels said: “The new EFDR signs will provide more efficient and readable information to the community and ensure any change in conditions is instantly and simultaneously displayed on all the signs.”
