Content creators can rejoice as Apple is releasing new updates for its Final Cut Pro X. Through the new updates, it is introducing some powerful new features to enhance remote working capability and increase speed of editing. New improvements have also been made in creating and managing proxy media which will help the editors with portability and performance while working with large resolution formats.
The Final Cut Pro users will now be able to work even more efficiently with new workflow enhancements. In the ProRes RAW camera settings, the company has left the some settings like exposure, ISO, and color temperature exposed now. Users can also insert audio crossfades on adjacent clips now easily, sort clips, and view their projects in List View date creation-wise.
The company has also introduced new Metal-enabled plugins for RED RAW and Canon Cinema RAW Light which improves the performance. Editors can now for the first time also play and edit 8K Canon Cinema RAW Light.2.
Apple has made major improvements to the proxy workflows with this update as libraries become more portable and remote working with large high-resolution files gets easier. The editors can now create proxies in ProRes Proxy or H.264 in dimensions as small as 12.5% of the original. They will also be able to consolidate proxy media, images, and audio to an external or network-connected drive.
Additionally, Final Cut Pro has also been improved to enhance its social media content. The software can now analyze clips automatically to look for dominant motion and crop with Smart Conform to convert them into square, vertical, or to any other sized video. This will be of great help for users’ who post content on the social media.
