Google introduces a new tool that can track the locations you have been to and your web activity. Not to worry! The information will not be stored for long; it will be deleted after a period of time.
Google had earlier given an option to disable data collection, and this tool is an expansion to it. The company says that keeping the data will be useful but at the same time, the tool will make sure that the information does not exceed the time limit.
Google quotes, “Whether you're looking for the latest news or the quickest driving route, we aim to make our products helpful for everyone.”
"And when you turn on settings like location history or web & app activity, the data can make Google products more useful for you - like recommending a restaurant that you might enjoy, or helping you pick up where you left off on a previous search.”
While talking about the privacy and safety of users’ data, Google said that they will ensure that privacy and security is the top priority and this tool helps to simplify the management. The company confirmed the tool’s rollout in a few weeks.
