The world’s largest telecom company, AT&T has said that its 5G network is now available across the U.S. With this announcement, the company’s 5G is now available to over 200 million consumers and 395 markets in the country.
Jeff McElfresh, CEO of AT&T Communications said: “With AT&T 5G reaching nationwide, our network is beginning the journey to transform connectivity as we know it by setting a new bar of breathtaking experiences and improved efficiency. Businesses, developers and consumers are already tapping into 5G’s potential and we’re thrilled for customers across the U.S. to experience it for themselves. It’s an exciting time in technology.”
5G has promised to increased connectivity speeds across the country but the current pandemic has had a hand in causing delays in the rollout. By making it's 5G available across the nation, AT&T has become the second company behind T-Mobile to achieve this significant milestone.
New Plans
- AT&T Unlimited Starter wireless plan for consumers can make use of 5G speeds starting August 7, at a cost of $35/month for 4 lines.
- From August 7, the company is also adding 5G access to the AT&T Business Unlimited Web Only and Starter Plans.
