NY-based CRM leader Kustomer is being acquired by Facebook. According to some reports, the companies did not reveal the amount of the deal, but the cost of the acquisition is roughly valued at $1 billion.
Kustomer is a promising startup that helps contact centers and businesses reimagine service and support in today’s customer-first world. The company offers automated tools, which help companies handle customer queries through bots. Working with Facebook will help the company enhance the messaging experience, which is one of the best ways for people and businesses to engage customers.
“Once the acquisition closes, we look forward to working closely with Facebook, where we will continue to serve our customers and work with our partners as part of the Facebook family. With our complementary capabilities, we will be able to help more people benefit from customer service that is faster, richer and available whenever and however they need it–via phone, email, text, web chat or messaging,” wrote Brad Birnbaum, CEO, Kustomer, in a blog post.
Kustomer was founded in 2015 and has grown significantly in a short frame of time. The company has raised $173.5 million in total funding, according to Crunchbase.
