AT&T and Microsoft are entering into a partnership to help improve cloud connectivity for IoT devices all over the world. The partnership will see both deliver an integrated IoT solution with Azure Sphere.
In this partnership, AT&T powered guardian device will work in tandem with Azure Sphere which will help businesses transform their operations quickly through massive IoT deployments at scale. The new solution will combine the high-security architecture of Azure Sphere with Azure IoT services and AT&T’s core network.
Mo Katibeh, executive vice president and chief product and platform officer, AT&T Business, said: “Working with Microsoft we can offer a truly global solution with strong security and data insights that can help a broad array of industries simplify operations, manage costs, and become more agile in any market.”
AT&T’s guardian device is simple to install and is a great solution for connecting devices, and equipment to cloud. This renders the need for public internet useless. The combined solution by the two giants will enable enterprises to connect their equipment to cloud and to Azure IoT central. This can be used by a range of industries to deploy IoT applications while being assured of having a secure network and comprehensive device security.
