IBM Announces New Capabilities for Intelligent Application Analysis

Organizations spend billions in IT spend to undergo a hybrid transformation. One of the important parts of making this happen involves helping the developers acquire the DevOps tools necessary to help them understand application complexity which is key when planning a cloud transformation. To help, IBM has announced new and updated capabilities to deliver intelligent application analysis throughout the DevOps pipeline. This is going to generally available from March 19.

“To help clients unlock the value of DevOps across the enterprise, and help reduce risk around application modernization, today IBM is announcing new IBM Wazi Analyze capabilities to help bring IBM Z into the DevOps pipeline, unlocking uniform, enterprise-wide agile delivery processes and standards with transferable skills for non-Z developers,” wrote IBM on its website.

The new capabilities include IBM Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI) for IBM Z V6. This will allow the developers to accelerate application development and modernization by enabling them to efficiently gain granular insight into their business-critical application estate. The newer version of Wazi Analyze will help acquire updated analysis immediately after a change to code is made.

In the IBM Wazi developer V1.2, a new Analyze capability has been introduced. It will help developers discover and analyze the relationships between components of their z/OS applications and understand the impact of a potential change.
