The Indian IT Services giant Wipro has chosen Google Cloud as its partner to upgrade its core SAP ERP system to S/4HANA. It will also look to migrate the workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in a strategic forward-looking move.
“Wipro is embracing digital transformation at speed and scale,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud. “By modernising their core systems and technologies with Google Cloud, they have a powerful and scalable foundation to accelerate their strategic enterprise priorities and build for the future.”
Wipro is one of the major providers of digital transformation services to many of the world’s leading businesses and this move is critical to its own core systems and technologies. The company’s president and COO said that this a transformation program that will help the company run its most-critical workloads and applications with greater speed and agility. This will help Wipro support their customers more effectively.
The company has also announced that it will be rolling out G Suite for some of its employees to improve workplace productivity. It will act as a workplace productivity platform that will integrate the intuitive, cloud-native solution for security and features that enable real-time collaboration.
