Cyberattacks are on the rise and as the threat landscape continues to evolve you need to do something to tackle this challenge. Mastercard has announced that it is acquiring the cybersecurity pioneer RiskRecon. The companies have not disclosed the price tag on the agreement signed.
RiskRecon’s scanning and evaluation technologies are well known in the market as they help organizations all over the world manage cyber risks and protect their intellectual property, consumer and payment data. Post the acquisition, RiskRecon will continue to provide its cybersecurity solutions to its clients.
Kelly White, CEO and Co-Founder of RiskRecon said: “Mastercard has been one of those brands that has stood out as a true innovator, focusing on the real problems of real businesses.”
He added: “By becoming part of their team, we have an opportunity to scale our solution and help companies in new industries and geographies take steps to better manage their cybersecurity risk.”
In response, Ajay Bhalla, president of cyber and intelligence for Mastercard said the inclusion of RiskRecon’s team will help the company accelerate its suite of cyber suite solutions.
The acquisition is expected to be closed in the first quarter of 2020 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
