Order Food on Facebook

‘Order Food’ is the latest feature on Facebook. The social networking company announced that users can order food for takeaway or delivery using its mobile app or the website. However, Facebook isn’t competing with other food ordering apps. But it is partnering with several other players here!

Facebook will be partnering with EatStreet, GrubHub, Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, Olo, Zuppler, and Slice. Also, it is working directly with restaurant chains like Jack in the Box, Five Guys, Papa John’s, Wingstop, TGI Friday’s, Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, Chipotle, Jimmy John’s and Panera.

Order Away

Users can find the ‘Order Food’ option on Facebook under the Explore section. Users simply need to find the local spot and select something you’re craving for and order away! Once ordered, if a restaurant supports more than one of Facebook’s ordering partners, you’ll be able to choose between them. Once you select this, Facebook will bring up an in-app browser that takes you to the existing websites for Delivery.com and the others.

This clears the air that Facebook is just a platform where you can find a restaurant and nothing more. The redirected website is where much of the ordering takes place. The Facebook app or website will be helping you only to find a restaurant and tap into your preferred delivery option.
