ZEISS and Microsoft have struck a partnership deal through which the latter will help ZEISS accelerate its transformation to become a leading digital services provider. This will be done by helping ZEISS group embrace a cloud-first approach.
ZEISS will be standardizing the usage of Microsoft Azure for its equipment and processes. With this, the company will be able to enhance a customer’s digital experiences. Leveraging the power of Azure will give ZEISS the capability to easily take on AI, and IoT services.
In addition to this, ZEISS will also work with Microsoft to provide original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with new quality management solutions. This will help the microchip manufacturers in building more powerful, energy-efficient microchips, and deliver healthcare solutions for improved clinical workflows, enhanced treatments, and device maintenance.
“Zeiss is driving innovations across industries to improve the quality of individual lives and create industrial efficiencies by overcoming data silos and integrating digital experiences,” said Scott Guthrie, Executive Vice President Cloud + AI at Microsoft. “Harnessing the power of Microsoft’s cloud, AI and IoT services, ZEISS is transforming into a leading digital services provider.”
ZEISS and Microsoft will also collaborate across other ZEISS segments including ZEISS Ventures, Corporate Research and Technology and Consumer Markets.
