New robotic platforms and 5G IoT processors are unveiled by Qualcomm

With the introduction of the first integrated 5G IoT processors, Qualcomm is making significant advancements in the realm of connected devices.

These processors enable two new robotics platforms, two major operating systems, and an IoT ecosystem partner accelerator programme. Qualcomm will debut their new Snapdragon Mobile Platform in China on March 17.

Qualcomm Technologies is leading the charge in giving manufacturers the platforms they need to compete in this quickly expanding market as connected, intelligent, and autonomous products gain in popularity.

Precedence With more than 350 million sold IoT chipsets, Qualcomm Technologies is prepared to take on the challenge of a market predicted to reach $116 billion by 2030.

The first integrated 5G IoT processors are the Qualcomm QCS6490 and QCM6490

The QCS6490 and QCM6490 processors from Qualcomm Technologies have increased in feature richness and now support four operating systems. The chipsets' ability to run Linux, Ubuntu, Windows IoT Enterprise, and Android is a first for the sector.

Qualcomm's QCM5430 and QCS5430 CPUs are scalable

The Qualcomm QCM5430 QCS, the first software-defined Internet of Things products, is presented by Qualcomm Technologies. The platforms can be utilized for a range of IoT devices since they offer performance, premium connection, and compatibility for many OS. This includes retail equipment, mid-range robotics, networked cameras, industrial portable devices, and more. The platforms may scale and have upgradeable features like Triple ISP cameras and up to 4K60 footage.

Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) with transmit speeds of up to 3.6Gbps is included in the Qualcomm QCM5430/Qualcomm QCS5430 Feature Pack 1 and Feature Pack 2, along with other improvements to lower latency and boost responsiveness. The CPU performance and interface support are both improved by the Feature Pack 2. One USB 3.1 port, one PCIe port, as well as up to two PCIe and a 4K60 display port is available for wired communication.
