Sir Elton John discontinues his collaboration with Gucci

Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish are considering their options after the departure of Gucci's creative director, Alessandro Michele, in 2022.

According to reports, Sir Elton John has broken up with Gucci after a long partnership. In addition to designing the costumes for the 'Candle in the Wind' singer's 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' tour, the 76-year-old singer and his husband David Furnish frequently wore the fashion house's clothing on the red carpet. However, after creative director Alessandro Michele left in 2022, the couple is considering their options.

Elton and David were quite close to Alessandro, and they were startled when he left, a source told the media. It should come as no surprise that their relationship with Gucci has changed. Last weekend, Elton and David attended their annual Oscars viewing party. Donatella Versace, the chief creative officer of the Italian fashion house, was a guest of honor. Both men wore Versace suits, with the brand's emblem prominently displayed on their sleeves.

The 'Rocket Man' singer had earlier promised Alessandro his support after he left Gucci. The "Tiny Dancer" hitmaker had earlier expressed gratitude to Gucci for their "fabulous" tour designs, which would enable him to end his career "in a flamboyant way," much like he had begun.
