Atlas MedStaff: A Unique Approach to Healthcare Staffing

While it is possible for technology to advance healthcare exponentially, we still depend largely on healthcare professionals. For instance, a common term heard across many hospitals is, “We need more nurses!” In the healthcare ecosystem, nurses are the largest group of professionals. There are dire and extreme consequences when a medical facility is understaffed as it impacts patient safety and creates an unsafe working condition.

We have with us Atlas MedStaff, an organization that provides a unique approach to healthcare staffing. Setup in Omaha, Nebraska, Atlas MedStaff was established with a goal to be truthful and honest to its customers. With a team that is focused, experienced, and dedicated, the company ensures that every healthcare professional it serves gets the ultimate travel experience.

Strength and Care

The company started off as a sales team and slowly developed an understanding of the travel nursing market. The healthcare sector in particular, was selected because of its unique nature. Helping a person in their tough times by treating them as part of the family by providing that extra source of care is what Atlas MedStaff specializes in.

Over the years, Atlas MedStaff has increased its experience in this industry. Today, anyone who joins Atlas is part of its organization is considered family. “Our motive is to be connected by the individual, whether it’s professional or personal,” explains the chief operating officer of Atlas MedStaff, Ankur Garg. Helping the nurses in their career and making sure they enjoy what they’re doing and not just as a job, is what Atlas ensures.

However, the candidates who sign up with Atlas need to pass the rigorous credentials process set up by the company. It’s not just the experience that matters, but Atlas also conducts a very rigorous screening process. This process ensures that the nurses placed at hospitals not only meet the usual qualifications, but also provide that level of bedside manner, customer service etc for those families.

Creating Immense Opportunities

When it comes to the nurses, Atlas MedStaff goes way out and beyond to ensure the nurses have a good time. There are immense opportunities with Atlas to explore different parts of the world, have adventures, fun activities, etc while helping others and providing best in class patient care.

The company also ensures that every nurse’s certifications and licenses are active. For instance, when nurses are on assignment, a notification is sent 90, 60, and 30 days in advance before their credentials expire. Even the hospital does not need to worry about these procedures. “We take on the entire credentialing process behind the scenes,” explains Garg. “We’re meeting all the compliance regulations and things like that to make sure that the nurse is out of jeopardy!”

Atlas believes that honesty and truthfulness are important criteria for any successful organization. “If you say something, you need to do it and execute it. Don’t give unrealistic timelines and unexpected deliverables,” he adds. This is why Atlas is very transparent about everything it does to the nurses, like for example, the company is getting a $100 from a client, then the nurses get 90% of it. This transparency is presented to the clients and hospitals as well.

“Our brand basically speaks for itself in terms of innovation”

The market today dictates how successful an organization is and that is primarily based on its existing client base. This is the main motive behind the technology and innovation developed by Atlas MedStaff. Atlas MedStaff has leveraged the power of technology to drive a lot of its processes. It leverages Salesforce’s C-RM to help drive the end-users experience internally and externally.

And now, the company is all set to play big with its innovative one-stop shop mobile experience for the nurses. The newly developed mobile app which is set to launch early 2019 can pull up information for all the nurses. For instance, if they’re traveling and looking for new jobs, they can simply access the mobile app. Information and updates like credentials expiry dates and more can be accessed on the app itself.

The company keeps technology and the innovation as the prime motive behind any new product or solution. And this is why it’s also using artificial intelligence to drive the success where the nurses can dictate the terms. In the years to come, Atlas MedStaff is sure to continue to master its brand in more active places. It plans to start venturing out into platforms for doctors as well. “We want to give them a whole life-cycle shop position to the nurses that give them the best experience in healthcare,” says Garg.
