Atom AMPD: Disrupting the Communications and Networking World

Business organizations are driven by the global market demands and requirements. And communication plays a very important role in delivering to these demands. In such a scenario, having an all-in-one communication platform can play a crucial role in a company’s success. Atom AMPD is an innovative technology company with a global presence providing one platform and interface for all network security and voice communications needs. The company’s unique core technology, AtomOS, is an open-source based operating system, which is utilized by voice platforms.

Let’s hear more about Atom AMPD from Daniel Field, President and CEO.

Why was the company set up?

Our founders discovered that we could develop and deliver a unique technology solution that would disrupt the market and create a better value for companies by offering more solutions for one price. We wanted to provide vital business solutions that every business needs, including voice, unified communications, networking and network security; and also deliver these vital solutions with a single, easy-to-use and administer solution, replacing unnecessary hardware, software, complexity, and expense.

Surely there were challenges that you faced in your initial years. Can you share the experience?

Initially, since we were introducing a paradigm-shifting technology and we were an unknown player in the market, we struggled with no brand recognition. We continue to expand our efforts in this area. For instance, low pricing may get some attention, but people often can dismiss pricing if that is the only message that you have. We also struggled to get people to understand the great value of having a solution that replaces many other technologies. For many, it is difficult to comprehend the incredible value that a solution like ours offers a business user and the partners who offer it to the clients.

What do you feel are the reasons behind your product popularity and your consistent growth of the organization?

The uniqueness and providing to the vital needs of businesses are the reasons behind our solution’s popularity. Voice and network security are required by every business and customers today. Those who use our solution- AtomOS realize that they spend less, are better protected, have everything that they need, and always have the latest technology. Our company’s success is due to our belief in the great value that the solution provides to businesses.

It’s been nearly a decade since Atom AMPD was established. What were the grounds on which you have expanded your company and its offerings over the years?

We have become more professional and smart about our business operations at all levels. Our technology and our product offering are expanding to meet the needs of the evolving marketplace. Most recently we have expanded our partnership with key technology companies which enhance our recognition and opportunity.

What kind of mixed responses have you received from your consumers over the years?

We struggled at first with maintaining consistent support processes and policies. One example is that we had various release versions at many customer sites. As we solved technical problems with new software versions, not all customers reaped the rewards when a new fixed version was available. As a result of this, we updated our infrastructure, processes, and procedures and now we have standardization across all accounts, so we have very few support issues. We are pleased that our product is very stable, and the customers are happy.

How do you and your company contribute to the global IT platform and society at large?

Delivering a Unified Communications Solution that retails for under $3,000 USD allows for affordable deployment in many countries that would otherwise be limited by cost.

Do you have any new products ready to be/getting ready to be rolled out into the market?

Yes, we have new functionality to be introduced with our AtomOS solution as well as some additional product offerings. More about this will come when we are ready to go public with them. We have important new partnerships that have helped us expand our market. We are currently working on building in an Intrusion Detection Module into the AtomOS Solution.

Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

We will be a major player in the SMB marketplace with strong channel throughout the world. We also will have solid OEM partners delivering white label versions of our technology. We will have additional products which expand our growth.
