Interview Highlights

Q. Enertia Software proudly boasts 40 years of innovation. Can you share some key milestones or transformative moments that have characterized the company’s journey over these four decades?

Where do we start! Last year was a monumental year for us as we celebrated turning “40”. For the past 40 years, we’ve innovated upstream oil and gas software, partnering with exploration and production companies to help provide the technology, tools, software, service, and support they need to have a competitive advantage in today’s upstream oil and gas industry. Forty years is a long time. We’ve seen a lot of industry changes, oil and gas price fluctuations, and we’ve seen a lot of alternative software come and go... but we’ve remained steadfast in our mission to help our customers. Our longevity is a testament to our commitment to the industry. Since Enertia’s formation, the oil and gas industry has seen several impactful changes that have encouraged the advancement of technology and its applications within the energy industry. These technological advancements have changed the way we do business in significant but meaningful ways to help ensure our customers are operating at their maximum potential. We felt 40 years was a monumental time and prime opportunity to produce a timeline and whitepaper that outlines how Enertia has helped our customers withstand fluctuating gas prices, global economic and geopolitical factors, environmental concerns, and technology advancements… to name a few. Our industry has truly evolved, and Enertia has been there.

Q. Enertia emphasizes delivering best-in-class services to exploration and production operators of all sizes. How does the software ensure flexibility and scalability to meet the diverse needs of clients, from small to mid-cap and super independents?

Enertia delivers best-in-class development, implementation, and business consulting services to exploration and production operators of all sizes, from small and mid-cap to super independents. Organizations have implemented Enertia with as few as two users to over 300 users. Our scalable infrastructure allows customers to process data with thousands of wells in seconds and to process joint interest billing efficiently.

Q. Can you provide a comprehensive overview of Enertia Software’s core products and services?

Enertia’s core functionality lies in our fully integrated enterprise solution, but our services go beyond the core with specific integrations designed for all sizes of upstream E&P organizations, including mid to large-cap market-sized operators. Our service-oriented architecture and technology provide streamlined operations through integrated data-driven solutions, modern technology, and innovative applications, while our support solutions deliver unparalleled services with over 500 combined industry years of expertise. As the only upstream single-vendor SaaS provider, Enertia offers secure data seamlessly, literally, from the field to financials.

Q. With a team of professionals contributing over 500 combined years of energy industry and technology experience, how does this extensive knowledge base translate into understanding and meeting the unique needs of your clients in the energy sector?

With over 500 combined years of energy industry and technology experience, Enertia is able to deliver a knowledge base that understands the needs of our industry and our customers’ businesses. Our support solutions team comes from the oil and gas industry and technology sectors, and they understand the ins and outs of day-to-day operations, which is critical during ERP transitions and the implementation process. This is a huge advantage for our customers as it relates to best practices in business processes and experience.

Q. Enertia Software has successfully implemented software for over 250 upstream organizations. Could you provide insights into the implementation methodology and how it caters to the unique needs, regardless of the complexity of the client’s operations?

At Enertia Software, we truly believe that the implementation and support of Enertia are the keys to our success. Our proven history of successful implementations and long-term customer relationships provides a solid foundation for developing enduring and mutually beneficial partnerships. Our implementation process is centered on our ability to engage with our customers and outline the software functionality required, the business process designs, conversion requirements, training needs, and ongoing support solutions.

Q. Enertia is designed exclusively for the energy industry. How does this specialization translate into providing unparalleled integrated functionality for vertically integrated upstream oil and gas companies?

We truly know the ins and outs of upstream oil and gas. Without distractions from other industries, we can focus on the advancements, compliance changes, and complexities that our industry often faces. Enertia Software strives to provide our customers with the community, services, tools, support, and innovative technology needed to gain a competitive advantage in today’s oil and gas industry. With over 40 years of experience, we have seen several ERP offerings enter the oil and gas market with customized solutions, only to realize that what works for consumer retail, for example, simply won’t fit for oil and gas. Our understanding of day-to-day operations extends beyond our innovative technology through our team of industry professionals, and our passion to see our customers succeed.

Q. Looking ahead, what are the key goals and aspirations for Enertia Software in the coming years? Are there specific areas of innovation or expansion the company is particularly excited about?

Enertia Software has continuously evolved and driven the development of our organization and our application. This drive is encouraged and nurtured by our experienced team, extensive leadership, and our comprehensive desire to keep Enertia at the forefront of technology. We’ve grown tremendously in our core support areas to ensure we remain at the forefront for our customers’ needs, which is the key aspiration and continuous goal and commitment for Enertia, and always will be: our customers.
