“Aviation Security is more important than ever, Airlines will never compromise on security and the measures taken must be logical, effective, and efficient.”
- Alexandre de Juniac, CEO of IATA
The aviation industry, a major contributor towards economic development has not only increased the trade and travel activities, but has also employed tens of thousands of staff. And hence, Safety and Security is so important in this industry in order to safeguard the passengers, crew, ground personnel, and the general public from unlawful interference that are harmful. One such incident was the 9/11 attack which clearly underlined the lack of security services in the aviation sector. This inspired the New Yorker and a first responder William McGuire, to use his skills in aviation security and manage this need. He founded Global Security Associates in 2002 (which was later named to Global Elite Group in 2009) and filled the role immediately. The company launched several products, particularly the SECURSWIPE MOBILE AIRPORT CREDENTIAL VERIFICATION AND LOG, to increase the productivity of security reporting in the aviation sector, benefitting both passengers and the airlines.
The aviation industry, specifically the airlines, needs better security resources than any other sector and this keeps pushing the Global Elite Group forward. They offer their clients the best-in-class and latest technology solutions, and their unquestionable commitment has already won countless awards for security protocols and training. The Emirates Group honored the company with two awards, namely: Senior Professional of the Year, and AVSEC (Aviation Security) team of the Year in 2017. The company was also presented with a Guard Service Recognition for its collaboration with Fortune 100 companies.
“Our executives and employees are the best in the industry, their professionalism and knowledge is our calling card. They love what they do and our compliance record reflects that.”
The Global Elite Group takes great pride in their innovative, dedicated, and forward-thinking employees. “Every company experiences growing pains. Our people are amazing – Our Company is about the people who represent Global Elite Group at every location and with every satisfied client,” says McGuire. His executive staff, he says, is 200 years of aviation expertise combined, and this undeniably is a superlative attribute that sets them apart from the rest.
The well-established security firm employs at least 1800 security professionals at their 14 different institutions spread across the globe with headquarters at New York. McGuire’s great desire to keep people safe, with the help of leading-edge technology products mimicking a first responder, is what inspires the Global Group to excel in their field of business. Also, their continued tracking of the latest threats and harms affecting the aviation industry, around the world, keeps them ahead of the danger. Their latest solution is an in-house propriety security mobile app that can be used for training, reporting and monitoring purposes. To continue to provide the best security team for keeping people and assets safe and secure is their mission.

A variant, the Airport Authority Identification Badge is swiped through a hand-held scanner and the personal data is stored in the system showing entry and exit. The system can also be set to deny access to certain individuals, and this serves as a useful fallback if the terminal access control system is inoperable.
