Leader behind the success of Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc.

Joe Mertens is the President and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc. He began his career with Sirius (then known as Star Data Systems) in 1984, and his responsibilities grew to include sales and operations of the company's wholesale and distribution divisions. In 1997, those divisions were sold to Western Micro and renamed Business Partner Solutions (BPS), of which Mr. Mertens was appointed President and CEO.

He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin. He has received numerous awards, including the prestigious IBM Lifetime Achievement Award. He serves on the IBM Solution Provider Advisory Council and the board of directors of Sirius Computer Solutions. Mr. Mertens is a member of the Alexis De Tocqueville Society and has served on the board of trustees for the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County.
