Skytel Systems: Providing Communications at a Higher Level

Skytel Systems: Providing Communications at a Higher Level

We are at times where communication is required at every level. Be it on a personal basis or at higher level globally, communication is a basic requirement that everyone needs today. With the immense technological changes happening at the tick of the clock, it is required by all companies to stay updated with their communication platform. This implies not just for startups but also for well established companies. And this is where Skytel Systems has been delivering communication for all businesses with excellence.

The company was setup in 2006 by Ahmad Eied. Prior to launching Skytel Systems, there were three retail computer offices with 15 employees. It was discovered that the cost of communication could be reduced by 85% in developing a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) platform. With further analysis and developments, the product was offered to others as well which became the founding stone of Skytel Systems.

Today, Skytel provides enterprise-grade hosted VoIP and unified communications to businesses and institutions. With its wide range of unified communications products, Skytel is becoming the standard for business communications worldwide.

“People are our biggest asset,” says Ahmad Eied, Founder

In order to deliver this sort of excellence, there are highly skilled engineers who take care of client’s technological needs. The hard working employees at Skytel are the company’s biggest asset. With strong team work, determination and the ability to adapt to the changing market and customer demands have been determining factors for Skytel’s success.

In order to bring the best out of the employees, Skytel has an open door policy, idea boxes, a think tank room and more. The employees feel they have an outlet for sharing their observations and ideas, especially the think tank. The think tank is set up with bean bags, small tables and wall length white board where employees can pitch ideas and see what sticks. Some of their best ideas have come from this room and there is absolutely no pressure in here.

At Skytel, the employees feel motivated and inspired with opportunities to grow professionally and every member has a role to play in the chain. However, if any one member is busy or working on a project that takes up more time, any other team member can step in and take over the duties of their peers.  As the saying goes, Knowledge is Power, Skytel believes in cross training and sharing knowledge.

The teams are crossed trained and each one may specialize in one area or many but they work together just as much as taking the lead in projects and managing their peers in a supervisory role. This includes techs assigning senior staff to certain pieces of a project that they maybe leading. Working as one fluid team with interchangeable parts or jobs allows Skytel to grow as a team as well as puts each staff member in a leadership role that gives them the experience of leading a project from beginning to the end. This accomplishment is something the staff is not only proud of, but also feels that the learning experience is more valuable.

There are certain usual conflicts in every organization and Skytel addresses it as quickly as possible. Skytel works hard to find the right people and they are fortunate to have the right team of managers, techs, peers, and office staff. In case a conflict arises, Skytel addresses the conflict right at the beginning so that it doesn’t get out of hand later.

More than just a Phone Company

It is quite evident that Skytel has come a long way since its establishment. Over the past 10 years, the technological developments in communications have been immense. Skytel Systems has been catering to all of these by delivering only the best to its clients. These include voice, video, contact center, managed

IT services and mobile applications. It uses advanced technology to manage available voice lines and data bandwidth, delivering maximum flexibility and the highest possible upload and download speeds. In fact, Skytel Systems has developed and operates on simple network architecture. “Most companies get stuck on why change what we are doing is working. If you miss the market change when it comes out and you are not prepared to implement when the need is now, you are behind the curve ball and you will always be playing catch up,” says Eied. With this in mind, the company sees continues growth and pursuit of being an extension of customer’s businesses.
