We interviewed the founders of the company. Here are excerpts of the interview:

Q. Why did TruDoss create a revolutionary supply chain management system?

Our first patent covers the use of the TruDoss platform to create immutable records of images, files, or scanned information using a proprietary private distributed ledger configuration combined with a robust, global hosting partner. In addition to supply chain applications, natural resources, art and antiquities, and state and local government records all benefit from using the TruDoss solution.

Q. What can TruDoss, LLC blockchain supply management system provide?

We prefer to use the term “Distributed Ledger” to describe the patented process of creating an immutable record of the chain of custody of any asset. The current global challenges for manufacturing supply chains lend themselves to using TruDoss to create a depth of vision in tier-2 and tier-3 suppliers who are struggling today to turn raw materials into sub-assembly pieces. We deliver an almost real-time view of those sub-suppliers regardless of location and transportation providers.

Q. How does the company make the process easier to capture visual proof of a production event?

We have done substantial work using Adobe Scan and a smartphone to capture not only the part, quantity, date, and time but also GPS location. This information is captured, input, made 100% text searchable, and delivered into “smart folders” based on the customers’ needs. The appearance of this information is completely customized for the client.

Q. What void in the industry have you addressed?

Most companies that are manufacturing finished goods rely on a network of tier-1, tier-2, and tier-3 suppliers. Data quality and logistics visibility is low to none, as is the chain of custody of the components. TruDoss illuminates all information with the certainty of the cryptographic hashing of the file and its commitment to the distributed ledger. This process does not require any equipment to be purchased by the suppliers.

Q. Brief us how your mission and values helped you reach this far?

Our four partners have worked together for 20 years on more than 20,000 projects and captured five hundred million images. Creating absolute certainty of the information is a natural and overdue enhancement to any process that creates geographically dispersed information critical to proving ownership.

Educate us on your product technology and how it fetches your impressive results.

Our patent covers the creating of the cryptographic hash to be forever associated with the image captured. The hash is then committed to our private multi-node distributed ledger platform. It is very quick, very secure, and immutable.

Q. How has your team contributed to the success of the company?

We are high-value document experts who continue to believe in the importance of being able to prove forever everything about the history of a file or image. Proof of ownership of this high-value information makes the information and the asset more valuable.

Elaborate on your Blockchain Certification.

The US Patent and Trademark Office issued a US patent for its distributed ledger technology to the company, supporting its efforts to help collect and protect critical information connected to high-value assets. Titled “Systems and Methods for Data Validation and Assurance” (U.S. patent 11,061,886), the technology makes document management and preservation more accurate and efficient while lowering costs.

Rob Chepak, Founder

Rob is an entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in enterprise information management. He was the EMEA sales managing director for a regulated communications company, Merrill Corporation, from 2009-16.

Paul Hartzell, Founder

Paul has worked at Evault, a Seagate Company; Merrill Corp.; and RR Donnelley since 1988. He is credited with creating and commercializing the first profitable virtual data room, DataSite, which gave birth to an $800m industry managing trillions of dollars’ worth of asset due diligence.

Shaen Bernhardt, Founder

Shaen was one of the founding employees of Merrill DataSite. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University, and has deep technical ability. Based in Switzerland, he built the technology architecture behind TruDoss, the first patented data room, and blockchain platform.
