As a further significant step in delivering on this commitment, it launched its Communities and Charities Fund - set up directly to help and support good causes linked with those local communities supported by its customers.
Through the C&C Fund, it gives up about 5% of each solution to good causes and community projects that its customers support, which is significant. In the last 18 months, it has donated to Aspire Realise Coast to Coast, St. Johns Ambulance, Croydon NHS, Northamptonshire NHS, and Wings of Grace. It has also signed up to E&Y Foundation, where it has agreed to sponsor two young people through their program. The EY Foundation supports underprivileged youths from schools and puts them through a program that includes one week of training at EY and then another week based at its VerseOne.

Meet the Founder
A fervent leader who has a passion for innovation and the ability to think creatively, Alan Neilson is the Founder and Executive Chairman of VerseOne Group. He earned his BSc degree in Computer Studies and has wide experience that comes from more than 30 years in IT. Alan also acts as a director, adviser, and investor for several IT and technology start-up companies.
Alan was the CEO and one of the founding directors of royalblue technologies plc. During his 15 years at royalblue, he gained experience in corporate finance, due diligence, and acquisitions as part of the Company’s growth, which culminated in the IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 1997. Alan is also an active philanthropist, supporting the Prince’s Trust and National Autistic Society with treks to the North Pole and the Atacama Desert and Himalayas.
