Oracle adopted Artificial Intelligence to automate parts of digital marketing

Oracle Corp revealed of bringing out a new system that uses artificial intelligence to make digital marketing campaigns mechanical. Earlier when the thought of Oracle popped, it was just database software. Now, it is in competition with companies like Adobe Inc and Salesforce.com Inc in selling cloud-based software that is predominantly used for marketing B2B products which can amount to thousands of dollars.

Marketing campaigns major goal is to reach as many customers as possible in a short period of time via brand awareness but business-to-business campaigns are held to produce what marketers call a "qualified lead" - that is, a person whom a salesperson can call to start a conversation that eventually turns into a sale. Low quality leads cost money because they waste salespeople's time.

"A lot of it is much more measurable than it has been in the past," Rob Tarkoff, executive vice president or Oracle's advertising and customer experience cloud, said of digital marketing campaigns. "We just said, 'this is a big computer science problem, and we're going to go solve it.”
