LinkedIn has announced a big update that will bring stories, video calls, and also improve search experiences. The feature update is already in the trial phase and some users in few countries have even received the update. However, LinkedIn will make the update public to all the users worldwide within a few months.
It will allow users to video call one another via third-party apps like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or BlueJeans. In the pandemic era, we have seen the use of video calling apps and as LinkedIn is dedicated to professionals, it is obvious why LinkedIn has decided to include this feature. You can choose to sign-in with your favorite choice of video calls and can even schedule the calls.
LinkedIn Stories is another addition that will let you share anything personal or professional as it will be temporarily available for 24 just like WhatsApp Stories and Instagram stories. Many times you need to share anything which you wouldn’t like it permanently on your profile. The Stories feature is currently rolling out to users in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Netherlands, UAE, the US as of now, but will also be expanded globally within a few months.
LinkedIn also announced that it would also be getting a streamlined search experience, which would make it easier to search for people, events, groups, and content. One of the most popular features, “dark mode” will also be coming soon.
