The tablet will be powered by an Intel 11th generation Core processor with replaceable M.2 SSD drives.
Surface devices have been an important flagship lineup for Microsoft to showcase its best software integration with premium hardware. This year, earlier, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Plus launched, and now Microsoft is ready to launch its next iteration. The company’s upcoming September 22 event will be focused on new Surface devices.
As per the recent leak from Twitter account Shadow_Leak, the Surface Pro 8 will feature a 13” display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and narrow bezels. The tablet will be powered by an Intel 11th generation Core processor with replaceable M.2 SSD drives. For connectivity, the laptop will have dual Thunderbolt ports. The tablet will run Windows 11 out of the box, which is officially expected to release by October 5. This means that the new tablet may be on pre-order for 2-3 weeks, or it may come just before the update for existing Windows 10 devices rolls out.
Microsoft is holding a Surface hardware event on September 22. It is expected that the company will announce the Surface Pro 8, a Surface Go 3, a newly designed Surface Book 4, an updated Surface Pro X, and the successor to the Android-powered Surface Duo. Microsoft usually holds its hardware event in October, which is why the upcoming Surface laptop could be the first device to ship with Windows 11 pre-installed.
