Amazon is introducing its new service where it lets you park near a Whole Foods outlet and get the grocery items you ordered. The service is available for only the retail giant’s Prime members. The Prime members can avail these offers by using the Amazon Prime Now app which can be used to order online and a Prime now shopper will pick out these items and put it in your car at the parking spot.
The new grocery pickup service is free for orders over $35. The pickup fee is $1.99 for the orders under $35. To speed up the service you will have to pay an additional $4.99 for a 30-minute pickup window. Any customer using this service can also let the store know that he or she is on the way to pick up the ordered items.
For now, the service has only been launched for the Whole Foods outlets located in Sacramento and Virginia Beach. The pickup service will be available from 8 AM to 10 PM. Amazon bought Whole foods for $13.7 billion last year and had added delivery services to capture many more potential customers and now this for some more perhaps.
