Honeyfund, a cash wedding gift and free honeymoon registry, has teamed up with Target. Honeyfund and Target have come together to integrate Honeyfund’s service into Target. This integration has gone live on Target’s website, mobile web, and in the dedicated Target registry app.
Target believes that the gift registry business is popular among consumers and decided to partner with a well-established name in that area. And so Honeyfund and Target have become partners. Honeyfund allows friends and family give the marrying couple cash-based gifts. It could be anything from funds for travel or down payment for a house.
Registry Partnership
With this new partnership, couples can now register for physical and cash gifts from a single destination. This could help Target retain customers who may have otherwise opted for a non-traditional cash gift. “Guests are looking for a complete registry experience, including product and honeymoon options, and Target is the first retailer to be able to offer all of this in one place on Target.com,” says Dawn Block, Target senior vice president of digital.
Target says its deal with Honeyfund is a partnership with no money in exchange and it also does not constitute financial investment on the retailer’s part. The Honeyfund integration, on the other hand, is only available within the Target wedding registry itself.
