Schools and universities across the globe have had to move to offer remote learning since earlier this year. While educators and education leaders have been innovating rapidly to deliver quality education in these tough times, they can always use some help. To deliver this, Microsoft has extended the capabilities of the Education Insights app in Microsoft Teams by introducing new features to it.
The new features added to the Education Insights app in Microsoft Teams are now available for preview. The new features promise to improve the education scenario on the whole by delivering student engagement data to schools and universities, which will help them understand how their remote learning services are performing. The features will help theses educators get insights of whole institutions, districts, and systems. Microsoft believes that these improvements will help the educators and leaders “discover trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and adapt and personalize their teaching and learning strategies.”
The preview of the improvements made to the app shows their impressive benefits which include features to help educational organizations comply with regulations for digital engagement reporting with a single-click data export too.
Cody Grindle, VP of Information Systems at IDEA Public Schools, said: “The new Insights dashboard for leaders gives us actionable information on student engagement and virtual learning across our network. The near real-time activity metrics and report export features provide effective tools not only for attendance and daily/weekly trends, but also to provide student- level data for research across other academic indicators.”
