Amazon has been an amazing platform for shopping lovers and it is in headlines everytime for its innovations. This week, Amazon had announced of opening its new headquarters (split between New York and Northern Virginia)

Amazon in the past year procured PillPack, hired erstwhile healthcare leaders and made a health venture with Berkshire and JPMorgan.

Amazon’s entrepreneurial spirit has captured the attention of healthcare industry. We just have to wait to know how it can disrupt this industry. Amazon always creates something new hence; it has a strong foothold in the economy.

The massive success of Amazon is visible with 49 percent of online sales in the United States in 2018 and 100 million prime members which covers nearly one third of U.S. population. Jeff Bezos said that even with healthcare complexities he is ready to invest and work in healthcare industry.

He quotes, “[h]ard as it might be, reducing healthcare's burden on the economy while improving outcomes for employees and their families would be worth the effort. Success is going to require talented experts, a beginner's mind, and a long-term orientation."
