The social media giant has launched the initiative through its new ad campaign that highlights how small businesses use personalized ads to help themselves at an affordable price.
The pandemic has pushed small businesses all over the world into difficult times, and many may not survive the next few months. Digital marketing in such a critical juncture is important. The Good Ideas Deserve To Be Found campaign will elevate and promote innovative products from small businesses on Facebook and Instagram. Individual businesses can also use a new Instagram sticker and the #DeserveToBeFound hashtag on Facebook. The campaign will also include TV, radio, and digital advertising.
Also, Facebook is continuing to waive fees for businesses selling with Checkout on Shops through June 2021. “As we’ve shared previously, we will not collect any fees for paid online events until at least August 2021,” said Facebook in a statement.
The campaign is perhaps an extension of the work the company did on the product side at the start of the pandemic. This had included the launch of the Business Nearby section and a #SupportSmallBusiness hashtag.
